Hi there Banana

We just put some pixs of our gig at Punk My Horse 3 in Den Haag in our photo album. Well, just a few. But many more pixs will follow this week.
We also fixed the Video page. Some videos disappeared on YouTube. We think Rutger – geenstijl – didn’t like it. Too bad for him, the video returned. We also put some new videos on it.

‘Going Bananas’ will be released in March. Well, well that’s what we are heading for at this moment.  We also made some new recordings. We didn’t finish that session yet. So you have to be patient.  One song will be in the soundtrack of a movie called ‘Fillum’ (‘Movieeee’). But the title might change. You know we always love surprises. No news right now about the other releases (with Disturbance and the World Punknetwork compilation cd).

We are still working on some gigs.  In March, April, May and June we will do some gigs with Ashtones (France), Anti Social Degenerates (USA, Social Schism (UK), Killing Oma (Aus), Forbidden Kings (BRD) and Indecent Exposure (UK).

You haven’t noticed it yet, but we are also working on a brand new website. And in between days…. We go BANANAS!!!!

Let's hit the road

We updates the gigslist (many more dates to come) and updated our fotoalbum. Wooh what’s that noise? Yes, it’s a breakcore version of Bucket. Check it out!! Thanx Dj Den Chaoot!

Our new album “Going Bananas” is almost ready. We have a got a deal with Rock ‘n Roll Addicts.  They also started a label. Support your local scene. Thanx Wessel and Marijn!!
When ‘Going Bananas’ will be released, you can bet on it we will do a promotour all around the world, well almost.
Zines and radiostations send a email and you will get a copy.

Something more to say? Well our drumplayer is in ‘All grown up’. There is this rumour he might appear in some other movies as well.  Check it out.

The split with Disturbance is going to be a split with 2 French bands. Time of arrival: February. Soon the World Wide Network Punks will release their compilation cd. And yes we’re on it!

Deef de Kanarie is starting his own label. Just for fun, but if you know him he will release some weird music. That’s all for now folks.

Even geen Die Nakse Bananen (sorry)

Zaterdag 2 juni vond na afloop van een concert in Baroeg, Rotterdam een vechtpartij plaats met fatale afloop. Dit geweld was zo buitensporig, dit hoort nergens thuis. Ook niet in een punkscene.
Dit gebeurde nota bene in ‘ons huis’: de zaal waar wij repeteren, waar we graag spelen, waar we graag met vrienden een biertje drinken, waar we graag andere bandjes kijken en waar we graag het podium deelden. Dit alles is nu ineens zo vreemd geworden voor ons.

Wij willen benadrukken dat wij niets met dit soort geweld te maken willen hebben. De vechtpartij, maar vooral het overlijden van Michal Karlowicz "Kon" heeft ons dan ook diepgeraakt.
Wij nemen afstand van wat er gebeurd is, die zaterdag. Wij willen hier niet mee geassocieerd worden.

Wat er is gebeurd is te erg voor woorden en ook wij balen van wat er gebeurd is. Dit kan en mag nooit meer gebeuren. Waar dan ook.
Om onze afschuw te benadrukken hebben wij besloten om voorlopig geen optredens meer te doen. Geplande optredens hebben wij (helaas) afgezegd.
Die beslissing is voor ons niet gemakkelijk geweest. Nee wij willen niet wijken voor geweld, maar wij willen wel dat iedereen weer bij zinnen komt. Dat iedereen weer gewoon doet en dat we weer gewoon van punkavonden kunnen genieten. Een bezinningspauze dus.

Onze gedachten gaan uit naar familie, vrienden en kennissen van Michal Karlowicz "Kon" en mensen die getuige zijn geweest van deze vreselijke daad.

Why we will not play for a while

At the end of a concert in Baroeg, Rotterdam, on Saturday, June 2th, there was a fight with lethal injury. This violence was so outrageous, it doesn’t belong anywhere. And not even in a punkscene.
It happened at ‘our home’ , the venue where we use to rehearsal, where we liked to play, where we had a beer with our friends, where we loved to watch other bands playing and where we liked to share the stage. All of a sudden it became all so strange to us

We want to underline that we do not like and want to be confronted with this kind of violence. The fight, and especially the death of Michal Karlowicz "Kon" deeply shocked us.
We dislike what happened that Saturday. We do not like to be associated with this terrible thing.

We are sick and tired of what happened. This may and shall not happen again. Wherever. Too underline our disgust we have decided to quit playing for a while. We are very sorry to cancel all ready confirmed show.
It wasn’t easy to make this decision. No we won’t give way to violence, we just want everyone to get back to normal and enjoy the punkshows as we all used to do. It’s time for reflection!
Our thoughts go out to the family, friends and mates of Michal Karlowicz "Kon" and to all those who witnessed this horrible crime.

Going Bananas in Engeland!

De opnames voor Going Bananas verlopen voorspoedig. De muziek staat er goed op. We zijn nu bezig met het inzingen. Zoals het er nu naar uitziet verschijnt Going Bananas net na de zomer (september 2007).
Vrijdag 20 april gaan wij mede het record zoveel mogelijk bandjes spelen in 24 uur helpen verbreken. Waar? In Bazart in Den Haag. De entree is gratis.
De dag er op vertrekken wij naar Engeland om daar te spelen op het Concrete Jungle Festival.
Helaas gaat het optreden in Dordrecht op 27 april niet door. AAA heeft de tour afgezegd.

Going Bananas in England!

We made a lot of progress in recording the new album Going Bananas. We are now recording the vocals. The release is scheduled for September 2007.
Friday April 20th we will try to break the record of playing with as much as possible bands within 24 hours. Where? Club Bazart in Den Haag.
The day after we go to England to play at the Concrete Jungle Festival. Too bad the show in Dordrecht has been cancelled. AAA has cancelled the tour.

Going Bananas!

In het weekend van 17 en 18 maart zijn wij weer de Schade Garage studio ingedoken. Nu om een nieuwe cd op te nemen. Onder de werktitel ‘Going Bananas’ hebben we 15 nummers opgenomen. De muziek staat er alvast goed op. We gaan nu nog de zangpartijen inzingen. De foto’s van dit feestje zijn te vinden in het fotoalbum.
Ondertussen zijn we in de onderhandeling met Addictive Records (een nieuw label uit Spijkenisse) om het album uit te brengen. Als alles mee zit komt het album ook op vinyl uit!
Over vinyl gesproken: grote kans dat de splitsingel met Disturbance nog voor de zomer uit komt.

De agenda voor de komende tijd staat weet behoorlijk vol. En met een beetje mazzel spelen wij op 21 of 22 april op het Concrete Jungle festival in Engeland. Even de gigs-pagina in de gaten houden.

Going Bananas!

On March 17th and 18th we went back again to the Damage Garage studio. This time to record a new album. We recorded 15 songs for the album ‘Going Bananas’. We only have to records to vocals. You can find the pictures of this party in the photo album.

Meanwhile we are negotiating with Addictive Records (a brand new label from Spijkenisse, the Netherlands) to release the album. We also want to release the album on vinyl!
Talking about vinyl: the split 7 inch with Disturbance might be released before summer.

We got a lot of gig coming up next months. With some luck we might play on April 21st or 22nd at the Concrete Jungle festival in England. Keep checking the gigs page.

Smart Bananen reportage nu ook online!

Afgelopen vrijdag was een gekkenhuis! VPU en RRR bedankt voor jullie support! Smart RTV, de lokale omroep voor mensen zoals jij, heeft opnames gemaakt van het optreden. Het filmpje wordt ’s avonds ieder uur uitgezonden in Smart Actueel. Omdat niet iedereen in Spijkenisse woont, is het filmpje nu ook online te bekijken. Met dank aan Smart RTV!!!

Smart Bananen report online!

Last Friday was awesome! Thanx VPU and RRR for your support! Smart RTV, a local TV-station for people like you, covered the gig. It’s broadcasted every night on the local TV station. Not everyone lives in Spijkenisse, so we put the video online. A very big Thank you to Smart RTV!!

Bananen op TV!

Het optreden in TexMex (2 februari) wordt door Smart RTV opgenomen. Later in de week zal de Bananen Special op de lokale tv te zien zijn. Het filmpje zal later ook via de website te bekijken zijn.
Het heeft 17 jaar geduurd, maar eindelijk spelen we in Leeuwarden! Vrijdag 23 februari wel te verstaan. Verder gaan we in juli met The Scapegoats (Oostenrijk) op toer door Europa. Het reisplan is in de maak.
En Die Nakse Bananen zijn nu ook op Hyves te vinden!
En een goede voortzetting van 2007!

Bananen on TV!

The TexMex gig will be recorded by Smart RTV. The next week Smart RTV will broadcast the Bananen Special on the local TV station. The special can also be watch on the website.
It took us 17 years, we will play in Leeuwarden on Friday February 23th! In July we will do an European tour with The Scapegoats (Austria). Details later on.

Schade Garage Punx

Op 26 november hebben we in een autoschadeherstelgarage 5 nieuwe nummers opgenomen. De nummers van de Schade Garage Punx sessie zijn: Barbiepop, A song about beer again, Let's get fucked up, Born free taxed 'till dead en Think for yourself. Nu nog de nummers mixen…
In het fotoalbum vind je foto’s van deze opname sessie. En ook foto's van het optreden in Dordt. Thanx Elvira!.

Meer muzieknieuws: het hoesje voor de split met Disturbance is bijna klaar. En we zijn in gesprek met een nieuw label om een nieuwe Bananen cd uit te brengen.
Verder is nu ook de allereerste demo op de site te vinden. Nog een nieuwe toevoeging: de sectie Koffers/Covers. Bananen nummers gespeeld door andere bands.
En een bijzonder woord van dank aan Fiend. Bedankt voor het melden dat de Bummer 98 video op YouTube te vinden is.

Damaged Car Punx

On November, the 26th, we recorded 5 new songs in a real garage. We call this session Schade Garage Punx / Damaged Car Punx. We recorded Barbiepop (Barbiedoll), A song about beer again, Let's get fucked up, Born free taxed 'till dead and Think for yourself. Now we only have to mix the recordings….

Goed nieuws en slecht nieuws: het minitoertje door Duisland gaat in oktober niet door. De shows worden verschoven naar een nog niet bekend weekend.

Nou nou nou, dat was mij het feestje wel gisteren in de Catacombe. Wat een gave tent! Het had ook wel wat zo'n soort 'geheim' optreden. Ik weet niet of er foto's gemaakt zijn, mocht iemand foto's hebben gemaakt: mogen wij ze dan op de website zetten? Er staat zowizo een verrassing tegenover. Goed, meer nieuws: waarschijnlijk spelen wij op 4 november op 77 punk special avond in Roelofarendveen en op 11 februari volgend jaar in de Goudvishal met Time Again. Zie gig-pagina.
Verder gaan we dit jaar nog 4 of 5 nieuwe nummers opnemen in Studio 195. Weer een voorproefje van de nieuwe cd. We zijn nog op zoek naar een label. Interesse? Neem dan s.v.p. contact met ons op.

Well well well, that’s what I call a party yesterday at the Catacombe. What a great squat! It was very special to do a sort of ‘secret’ gig. I don’t know if someone to some pictures. If so, please sent them to us so we can put them on our site.
Anyway: more news: we play on November 4th at the 77 punk special night at Roelofarendsveen and probably on February 11 th (next year) with Time Again at Goudvishal. See gigs-page.

Het heeft even geduurd, maar er staan weer nieuwe dingen op de site. Foto's van de optredens in Utrecht (met Vogeli van de Cenobites en Dicemen op de 4 snaren) en Wateringen. Even checken op de Pix pagina. Er zijn weer nieuwe concerten. Gauw kijken op de Gigs pagina. De optredens in Duitsland krijgen misschien een vervolg of een voorafje elders in Europa. Binnenkort meer. Tot slot: 2 gloed nieuwe nummers: Barbiepop en A song about beer again. Live opgenomen in de Baroeg (waar anders?) met een simpel cassettedek. Ruw en niet gemixed, punk zo als het hoort? In ieder geval een voorproefje van de nieuwe cd.
It took quiet a while, but finally there is some new stuff on this site. Pictures of the gigs in Utrecht (feat. Vogli of the Cenobites and Dicemen op 4 strings) and Wateringen. Rough and not mixed, punk as it should be? Anyway it's a sample of the new album.

Een nieuwe website? Ja zeker. En nog wel een tijdelijke ook. Het bouwen van de definitieve website gaat meer tijd kosten dan dat wij hadden kunnen voorzien. En de "oude" website bijwerken was een lastige vervelende klus. Dan maar even op deze manier.

DNB op TV Tijdens het optreden van 13 januari met Peter Pan Speedrpck en the Jugs zijn tv-opnames gemaakt voor het programma Rutger leer stappen. Zondag 22 januari om 17.15 uur wordt het programma uitgezonden op TV Rijnmond (daarna ieder uur een herhaling). Vanaf maandag is het programma ook te bekijken op www.rutgerleertstappen.nl. Daar is nu al een voorproefje te vinden. In het Pix zijn foto’s te vinden van deze avond. The gig we did with Peter Pan Speedrock and the Jugs was recorded for a local televisonprogram Rutger leert stappen (Rutger learns how to party). The program will be broadcasted on Sunday 22 January. From Monday you can watch the show on www.rutgerleertstappen.nl. If you can’t wait till then, go to the site and have a peak. We also added some pictures of this night in Pix.

Iedereen de beste wensen voor 2006! Met de jaarwisseling ook maar meteen de bandverjaardag gevierd. En wie jarig is trakteert. Op de Noises-pagina zijn nieuwe downloads te vinden van demo’s. Is dat alles? Nee, dat is niet alles. Iedere maand komt er een demo bij. Of iets anders uit de “oude” doos. Sommige downloads zullen slechts tijdelijk beschikbaar zijn. En ja er komen nieuwe buttons en stickers!!!!
